If you are a fan of Ghibli's "Spirited Away", you must not miss the Nagabeda Seabed Road in Uto City, Kumamoto Prefecture! This place is famous for the rows of electric poles leading to the sea and the road that appears at low tide. It is known as the real-life "sea railway" and attracts countless tourists every year to make pilgrimages and check in.
🏞️Fantasy landscape introduction Nagabeda Seabed Road is a road about 1 km long that is only exposed at low tide. 24 electric poles are neatly arranged on both sides of the road. When the tide is high, the entire road will be swallowed by the sea, leaving the mysterious scene of the electric poles standing quietly in the sea. It's like walking into the world of animation!
📸The best viewing time is recommended to be at sunset : the afterglow of the setting sun is reflected on the sea surface, and the golden sky and the sparkling water surface complement each other, like a canvas of nature, full of romance.
Two hours before and after high tide and low tide : Watch the sea water recede and the seabed road slowly emerge, or the road gradually disappears during high tide. The sense of magnificence and mystery is really shocking!
