MOVA VILLA operates in four areas of Kumamoto Prefecture: Haramizu, Okino, Ozu, and Koshi. Mt. Aso is about 40-60 minutes by car, with easy access to Kumamoto City and Aso sightseeing spots.
How do large groups book multiple villas?+
Groups over 6 guests should book multiple adjacent villas. Haramizu 1 & 2 are adjacent, Okino 1-3 are adjacent, and Ozu 1-3 are side by side. Our availability search automatically suggests nearby villa combinations.
How far is Kumamoto (Aso Kumamoto) Airport?+
All four areas are about 15-25 minutes by car from Aso Kumamoto Airport — convenient for your first night after arrival or last night before departure.
How far is the TSMC Kumamoto fab (JASM)?+
Our Ozu and Haramizu areas are closest to JASM in Kikuyo, about 5-15 minutes by car — ideal for business travelers. Each villa is fully private, so you can truly relax after work. For long-term business stays, contact us via our official Line account.
Do I need a rental car?+
A car is the most convenient way to explore the Kumamoto countryside, and every villa has free parking. Without a car, we recommend the Haramizu area — just a 3-minute walk from JR Haramizu Station with train access to Kumamoto City.
What are the check-in and check-out times?+
Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM. We use self check-in — detailed instructions are sent after booking.
What amenities are provided?+
Every villa is an entire private rental with a full kitchen, washing machine, free Wi-Fi, and free parking. Large supermarkets are nearby, so you can cook and live like a local during your stay.
How are children and infants counted?+
Infants aged 3 and under do not require a bed and are not counted toward the guest limit. Please check each villa's booking page for maximum occupancy.
Are there supermarkets or restaurants nearby?+
Yes — every area has large supermarkets and local restaurants nearby. Stock up on ingredients and enjoy cooking in your villa's full kitchen for an authentic live-like-a-local experience.
Are there hot springs (onsen) nearby?+
Yes — famous onsen such as Kikuchi, Hirayama, and Aso Uchinomaki are within a 30-60 minute drive, perfect for a day trip.
How do I make a reservation?+
Search availability directly on our official website by selecting your dates and number of guests, then book online. The site supports Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean.
What is the cancellation policy?+
Full refund for cancellations 7+ days before check-in. 50% refund for cancellations 4-6 days before. No refund for cancellations within 3 days (including check-in day) or no-shows.
Can I stay long-term?+
Business travelers and anyone needing an extended stay are welcome — contact us via our official Line account for a customized long-stay plan.
Do you provide baby cribs or children's high chairs?+
MOVA VILLA warmly welcomes parent-child families and small families! We recommend booking Daiwa 2 or Misawa 2, which are our child-friendly villas.
Is parking available?+
Each villa is a fully detached private house and comes with its own parking space. At least two cars can be parked on site.
